Her main fields of expertise are inclusive and multicultural education, teacher professional development, student motivation and wellbeing. Since 2020 she has been a national coordinator at the University of Belgrade for the Erasmus+ project Illumine – A community for exploring and sharing uses of evidence-based teaching strategies. Since 2010 she has been engaged in teaching at several courses in the Centre for Teacher Education at the Faculty of Philosophy and since 2021, she has been teaching courses in the field of psychology of education at the State University of Novi Pazar.
She has been teaching courses in the field of educational psychology and communication. Her main fields of expertise are intercultural and inclusive education, educational leadership, teachers’ professional development, communication skills, conflict resolution and mediation. She was a national coordinator at the University of Belgrade for the Tempus project ‘Master in Еducation Leadership‘ (EdLead) – 543848-TEMPUS-1-2013-1- RS-TEMPUS-JPCR and Comenius project ‘E-School for Sustainability in the Danube Region’ (eSchool4S) – 539075-LLP-1-2013-1-DE-COMENIUS-CNW, and a national project manager of the international survey TALIS 2013 (OECD). Currently, she leads the project ‘Interpersonal conflicts and resolution styles – individual and cross-cultural differences‘ (ICARS) funded by The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia (DIJASPORA Program, #6504146 ), which ends in August 2023.
Her main research interests include mental health, developmental psychology and psychopathology. As a PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology, she is currently exploring the possibilities of personality pathology assessment in adolescence. Within the school context, she has worked on development and implementation of projects tackling youth mental health and discrimination in five European countries. Since 2021 she has been a team member of the Erasmus+ project Illumine – A community for exploring and sharing uses of evidence-based teaching strategies.
His main interests are developmental and educational psychology, mental health, marginalized groups and institutional influences on identity formation. As a PhD candidate, he is writing a thesis on narrative identity of adolescence on residential care. Alongside his academic pursuits, he has gained practical experience as both a teacher and a school psychologist within the educational system.
Since 2008, she has been employed at the State University of Novi Pazar, where she was promoted to the position of assistant professor in 2021. Her main areas of interest and research are personality psychology and social psychology. She is also interested in the relationship between personality and the social environment in the school setting. She has participated in several domestic and international conferences and is the author of multiple papers published in conference proceedings and journals.
Before working at the College of Vocational Studies for the Education of Preschool Teachers and Sports Trainers in Subotica, she was employed as an assistant professor at the Psychology Study Group of the Department of Philosophical Sciences of the State University in Novi Pazar. Her primary research interests are related to the field of family, developmental and pedagogical psychology. She has published over 50 scientific papers and published a textbook entitled: Family Psychology – theories and research -. She is a reviewer of scientific papers in several national and international anthologies and journals and participated in the defense of over 30 final Master’s theses, both as a mentor and as a committee member. During her career, she participated in numerous scientific projects, as well as projects of development programs of local communities.
Her main research interests include mindfulness, mental health and creativity. As a PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology (Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade), she is currently researching the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions on adolescents in school settings. Since 2019, she has been engaged in clinical psychology courses at the State University in Novi Pazar.
As a sociocultural psychologist, her expertise is in diverse methods of critical sociocultural analysis, including narrative, sociolinguistic, visual, and spatial analysis. Dr. Jović’s research concerns socio-cognitive development among youth in challenging contexts, including poverty, migration, cultural diversity, and integration. She studies the effects inequality has on development from the perspective of human potential and resilience, rather than a deficit-oriented perspective.
She is engaged in teaching a variety of courses in clinical psychology, psychopathology, mental health, and psychotherapy. Her primary expertise focuses on the treatment and psychological aspects of postpartum depression, and she holds a strong interest in the field of positive psychology. Dedicated to her local community, she frequently collaborates on projects within the non-governmental sector. Over the years, she has shared her knowledge at numerous national and international conferences and has authored several papers featured in respected academic journals and conference proceedings.
